GENEVA-ID GmbH pools GFKL’s software competence in the insurance market
- ID Innovative Datenverarbeitung GmbH, has program service GmbH and Wiese + Partner Group under one roof

Essen, September 4, 2007. GFKL Financial Services AG is amalgamating its software and consulting business in the insurance segment under the roof of its subsidiary GENEVA-ID GmbH. The sites of the companies involved, Wiese + Partner (Hamburg), has program service GmbH (Hamburg/Mönchengladbach) and ID Innovative Datenverarbeitung GmbH (Kevelaer) will be maintained. GENEVA-ID is domiciled in Hamburg. The company’s managing directors were previously the managing directors of the three companies involved: Klaus Wiese (Wiese + Partner, has) as the chairman, together with Rudolf Beerden and Wolf-Dieter Schulz-Engelke (both ID). GENEVA-ID employs approximately 200 personnel in all.

In strategic terms, three business areas are served:
- Sales of scalable applications solutions
- Expansion of business process outsourcing services for insurance companies, e.g. collection, and
- individual IT projects.
“GENEVA” is an abbreviation of “Generalisierte Versicherungs-Anwendungen“ (Generalized Insurance Applications), reflecting the philosophy of the generalized approach. Its aim is to combine the resources of all three companies to continue expanding the good market position they have already achieved with their insurance-related products and services. Moreover, within the GFKL Group GENEVA-ID will collaborate closely with sister companies Sirius Inkasso and ADA – Das SystemHaus, each of which have a prominent position in the insurance market – Sirius as a specialist in the outsourcing of receivables handling, ADA as a systems company.
